Life Science author Annemarie Postma (1969) studied law and later became the first professional European model with a handicap. In 1995, she was featured in Playboy, which resulted in her becoming a sought-after guest on national and international talk shows. Since then she has developed into a successful publicist and writer, specializing in self-esteem and self-respect - the two aspects at the absolute core of contemporary self-development, according to Annemarie.

Annemarie has reached hundreds of thousands of readers with her books I Love Me, Making Love, and The Body Is Perfect. Her books, columns, and lectures are both philosophical and discerning. Her passionate, holistic vision of life is characterized in all her work, in which she tackles the questions “How can I learn to truly live? How can I create the life that is best for me?”.

Annemarie sees mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health as inextricably linked to one another.

Since February 2005, Annemarie has been goodwill ambassador of the Netherlands Foundation for Handicapped Children (NSGK). Annemarie was eleven years old when, as a result of a tick bite that was not discovered in time, partial paraplegia changed her life. She shares her experiences and the insights she has gained in her books, workshops, and lectures. Her passion for life, love of reality, and social involvement make her a source of inspiration for many people.

Met haar boeken Ik hou van mij, Liefde maken, The deeper secret en Ziels Eigenwijs bereikte ze inmiddels honderdduizenden lezers. Haar passie voor het leven, liefde voor de werkelijkheid en maatschappelijke betrokkenheid maken haar tot een bron van inspiratie voor velen.
